Fog led to head-on crash that claimed life of 21-year-old woman near Brainerd
BRAINERD, Minn. (KMSP) - Limited visibility due to fog near Brainerd, Minn., caused a head-on crash that claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman early Thursday morning, Crow Wing County officials said.
The crash happened near the intersection of County Road 2 and Thesing Road in Daggett Brook Township, with two cars colliding head-on before a third vehicle struck one of them soon after.
In addition to the woman who was pronounced dead at the scene, another driver was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. The third motorist was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
