A fatal crash closed a section of Main Street in Blaine for several hours on Wednesday night, according to Blaine police.

Officials closed westbound Main Street between Aberdeen Street and Highway 65 to investigate the crash.

According Blaine Police Chief Brian Podany, a dump truck was heading westbound on Main Street, while a vehicle heading southbound on Aberdeen started turning left on Main.

The dump truck hit vehicle. The dump truck then hit a road barrier and the force ejected driver, who later died.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Podany said there could have been low visibility due to rainy conditions.

The crash is still under investigation.
