MONTEZUMA, Iowa (KMSP) - The family of Mollie Tibbetts, the University of Iowa student who was missing for more than a month is speaking out for the first time since her body was found in a farm field in rural Iowa Tuesday.
Tibbetts, 20, disappeared on July 18 while jogging in her hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa. She was missing for more than a month before investigators located her body in a field 12 miles southeast of Brooklyn in Poweshiek County on Tuesday.
Authorities have charged Cristian Bahena Rivera with first-murder in connection to her death.
