Ex-Burnsville swimming coach facing new sexual assault charges
BURNSVILLE, Minn. (KMSP) - A former Burnsville, Minnesota swimming coach is facing additional charges of criminal sexual conduct after investigators learned of second victim, according to the Dakota County Attorney's Office.
Friday, Alfred John "Rocky" O'Neill was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree. O'Neill allegedly had sexual contact with a teenage girl he was coaching from 1997 to 1998. The reported sexual assaults occurred during three separate incidents.
Burnsville police received a tip about the alleged sexual abuse after O'Neill was charged in September for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl he was coaching in 1988 to 1989.
O'Neill next court appearance for the original case will be on Oct. 24. He will appear in court for the new charges on Dec. 3.
