DINNER DATE: Jimmy Fallon surprises family in Champlin, Minn.

CHAMPLIN, Minn. (KMSP) - Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon surprised a family in Champlin, Minnesota, on Friday and stayed for a truly Minnesotan dinner - hotdish.

Earlier this month, Fallon put a request on Twitter asking for a MN family to host him for dinner. Producers chose the Salzer family's recipe as the winner. They served Fallon a beer from 10K Brewing in Anoka, Tater Tot Hotdish and some of Grandma's Goulash.

The Tonight Show streamed the whole experience on Facebook Live.
