DASH CAM: Plastic flies off dump truck, engulfs nearby SUV

A driver on Highway 52 in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota narrowly avoided an accident Wednesday after a large piece of heavy-duty plastic flew off a dump truck and engulfed his SUV.

A state trooper happened to be driving behind the SUV and captured the incident on his dash camera. He pulled over to assist the driver in removing the plastic from his vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.

The driver told the trooper he saw what was about to happen and slowed down so he could pull over.

“I could see it starting to come so I had time to at least slow down a little bit,” he said.
