Crews work to extricate four victims trapped in Hwy. 169 crash Sunday morning
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KMSP) - State Patrol and Bloomington Fire crews extricated four victims from a vehicle crash Sunday morning.
The incident occurred on southbound Hwy. 169 south of I-494 around 8:15 a.m.
The State Patrol says a Lexus car was southbound on Hwy. 169 in the left lane at a high rate of speed when it lost control, leaving the roadway. The car struck the right guard rail, causing the vehicle to roll where it came to a rest on its side in the right ditch.
According to Bloomington Fire Department, there are four total victims.
Hwy. 169 was reduced down to one lane as crews worked to free the victims from the entrapment.
The Bloomington Fire Department said all victims have been extricated from the crash and were transported by ambulance to the hospital.
There is no word yet as to the status of the victims. The State Patrol says the extent of their injuries has yet to be determined.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.
