Clinton, Sanders visit Twin Cities on Friday

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are set to stop in the Twin Cities on Friday at a DFL fundraising dinner at the RiverCentre in St. Paul. Sanders will also speak at a forum at Patrick Henry High School in north Minneapolis.

Clinton narrowly won the Iowa caucuses and Sanders won Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary. Minnesota’s caucuses will take place on March 1.

The Democratic presidential candidates, including Gov. Martin O'Malley, will speak, but will not share the stage at the 5th annual Humphrey Mondale Dinner at the RiverCentre.

Sanders will be the guest of honor in north Minneapolis, the event sponsored by Neighborhoods Organizing for Change. Organizers said the forum "will focus on the historic and current issues facing Black communities and other communities of color, specifically in Minnesota, home to some of the worst racial disparities in the nation."
