Child injured in shooting at north Minneapolis home
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A four-year-old child is recovering after it was shot Thursday morning in north Minneapolis, according to Minneapolis Police Sgt. Darcy Horn.
Horn says around 11:30 a.m. police responded to 1400 block of Newton Ave N police on a report of a child shot in a home.
Crews took the child to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injury.
According to preliminary investigation, police believe the child shot itself.
Child Protective Services is involved in the case and police are investigating.
