Two caregivers rescued the residents of a group home when a fire broke out there Thursday morning, the Roseville Fire Department wrote on their Facebook page.

Firefighters responded to a call at 9:50 a.m. of heavy smoke coming from the group home on the 2900 block of Woodbridge Street. Upon arrival, crews found the back deck and roof of the building in flames.

Two workers woke up the three residents of the group home, got them into wheelchairs and helped them get to safety. Firefighters later rescued a cat from the blaze.

The home suffered extensive damage, with an estimated loss of $350,000. The fire is still under investigation, according to the Roseville Fire Department.

Firefighters also responded to a second fire nearby on the 1900 block of Woodbridge Court. No one was injured.
