BCA: Suspect in fatal Hibbing shooting possibly headed to St. Paul

A suspect is at large and possibly traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota after killing one person and injuring another in Hibbing Tuesday night. 

Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to 911 calls about a shooting on the 2400 block of Third Avenue East and found two men with gunshot wounds, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second was treated for a non-life threatening injury and released. 

Authorities have identified the suspect as Jerome Diante Spann, 29. He fled in a vehicle with another man and have traveled to St. Paul, where he has relatives. 

Spann is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 218-263-3601. 

The investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing.
