Arrest following deadly Minnetonka drug overdose

A 23-year-old suspect is in custody after a man apparently died of a drug overdose in Minnetonka, Minnesota, according to the Minnetonka Police Department. 

Sunday around 8 a.m., police responded to a report of an unresponsive man in the 2000 block of Pine Island Road. Officers found a 59-year-old man who appeared to have died from a drug overdose. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the man and determine an official cause of death.

At the home, police arrested a 23-year-old Maple Grove man on suspicion of second degree manslaughter. He made the original 911 call. He is currently being held at the Hennepin County Jail. Charges are pending. 

The case is still under investigation.
