Blood donation for Minneapolis mass shooting victims

Hospital officials say Minnesota is experiencing a critical blood shortage. They noted that a "pretty substantial" amount of blood was used to treat shooting victims in the emergency room.

Officials are urging anyone who is able to donate blood to do so.

One option is donating blood through Memorial Blood Centers, a nonprofit community-based blood center that works with local hospitals and other organizations. To find out more information and where to donate blood, visit Memorial Blood Center's website here.

Blood donations can also be made through the Red Cross. More information on blood donation can be found on their website.
