MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - If you had hoped to zip line 800 feet across the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis in freezing temps during Super Bowl week, you're out of luck.
All 10,000 tickets for the Bold North Zip Line are sold out as of Wednesday morning. The zip line is one of the many attractions at the 10-day Super Bowl Live event that will include free concerts, food and fun. It will open on January 26 and run through game day on Sunday, February 4.
More than 4,000 tickets went on sale in in December and were quickly snapped up. Organizers had initially planned to make some tickets available for same day, on-site purchase, but due to high demand, they opted to sell at the remaining tickets in advance. The second online pre-sale started at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and all of the remaining tickets – priced at $30 a ride—were sold out before 11.
