After victory, Minnesota Vikings prepare to face off with Packers

Victory Monday is always sweet, especially when there’s a brand new era for the Vikings, with Kirk Cousins showing his skills on offense and the team’s defense going strong.

“Overall, it was a good first win, good learning experience,” said Vikings Coach Mike Zimmer. “We have things to move forward with.”

“I think we did a good job, and there are things we could’ve done better. That’s why we play this game,” said Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen.

But, sometimes the victory can be really short and sweet - especially when you look at what the Green Bay Packers did Sunday night.

In an exciting night, Aaron Rodgers came back from a left knee injury – and helped bring the team to victory.

“It’s remarkable. The guy’s unbelievable,” Zimmer said. “There aren’t enough superlatives to say about this guy, he’s just amazing. Receivers did great job, as well. We’re gonna have our hands full.”

The Minnesota Vikings play the Green Bay Packers 12 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16 at Lambeau Field.
