2-year-old dies in four-car collision in Moorhead, Minn.

A two-year-old boy lost his life in a four car collision on Saturday in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Officers responded to a crash at Highway 10 and 34th Street around noon when a Ford F-150 rear-ended a car with two adults and a two-year-old inside. Both vehicles then hit two more cars, pushing all the cars from Highway 10 onto 34th Street.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, but the two-year-old suffered serious life-threatening injuries during the crash. He was transported to a local hospital where he died.

The driver of the pickup truck did not show any signs of impairment, and has been cooperative with the police. He is currently not in custody, but Moorhead Police Department said appropriate criminal charges have been requested.
