1 dead in officer-involved shooting in Alexandria, Minn.

One person died in an officer-involved shooting that occurred during an undercover operation in Alexandria, Minn, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

The BCA was conducting an undercover operation involving the solicitation of minors in the 300 block of 4th Avenue East in Alexandria.

During the operation, two BCA agents fired their weapons. One person died in the encounter. Dispatch officials say the shooting happened around 2:15 p.m.

None of the officers were injured.

Alexandria Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff Office and West Central drug and violent crime task all assisted in the undercover operation.

The St. Paul Police Department will investigate the officer-involved shooting.
