1 dead, 1 injured in crash between motorcycle and semi in Bloomington

A deadly crash between a semi truck and a motorcycle in Bloomington, Minn. left one dead and another injured, according to Bloomington police spokesperson Mike Hartley.

Both vehicles were driving westbound on Ballif Place around 5:00 p.m. when the semi turned left onto York Avenue and struck the motorcycle, according to a release.  The driver of the motorcycle, a 65-year-old man, died in the crash. Emergency crews took the motorcycle passenger, a woman, to a nearby hospital.

The 29-year-old semi driver is cooperating with police and was uninjured.

The crash is still under investigation.
