1 dead, 1 in custody after stabbing in St. Paul Park, Minn.

ST. PAUL PARK, Minn. (KMSP) - A suspect is in custody after a deadly stabbing Wednesday evening in St. Paul Park, Minnesota. 

The stabbing took place around 7:30 p.m. in a parking lot on the 1000 block of 3rd Street, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. When police arrived, they located one victim with fatal stab wounds. 

The victim has not been identified. 

The suspect was booked into the Washington County Jail, where they are awaiting formal charges. 

The stabbing remains under investigation. Authorities do not believe there is any threat to the public.
