Wintry weather to last from Wednesday night to Friday morning

Spring has sprung, but winter wants to make another visit to Minnesota.

A Blizzard Warning has been issued for west central Minnesota and a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the Twin Cities and most of central Minnesota.

Winter weather issues will last from Wednesday evening and until Friday morning. This storm system will be impacting a large area of the Upper Midwest.

Wednesday evening through Friday we can expect a wintry mix of rain and snow. Areas within the Blizzard Warning have the highest chance of accumulating up to 12 or more inches of snow along with wind gusts at 50 miles per hour.

In anticipation of the storm, airlines are waiving fees and offering vouchers for travelers who want to change their flights to and from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Wednesday and Thursday.
