Halloween safety tips

(KMSP) - While we don't want to spook you too much before Halloween, consider this sobering statistic from SafeKids.org: chances of getting hit by a car DOUBLE on Halloween night. Mpls.St.Paul magazine style editor Allison Kaplan has some ideas to keep your little ghosts and goblins safe.

Stay Warm: It’s easier than ever to keep hands, toes, and core warm during trick-or-treating without sacrificing your costume. We found several insulating items at L.L.Bean:

Thin stretch gloves in black to keep hands warm, while able to grab candy

Shearling insoles for shoes or boots

Ultralight down sweater/jacket
