Enjoy the beautiful and seasonable sunshine! Hot and muggy with evening storms on Wednesday.

After such a dryer summer farmers throughout Minnesota continue to hope for any amount of rain that will help crops grow.

Both homes and cars were hit hard from a series of storms that came on Friday into Monday, with owners considering their next move.

Parts of central and southern Minnesota got drenched overnight, with rain totals exceeding four inches in some spots.

Rain overnight dropper over an inch across most of the metro. Highs this afternoon will barely get to 70 degrees, but Tuesday temps will get back to seasonable.

Rain could stick around through the lunch hour. Temps will remain cooler with highs in the 70s. Highs tomorrow in the 80s.

The metro is in store for a good soaking Sunday night into the overnight hours.

Some rain will roll into the area Sunday afternoon. Highs will be around 70 degrees.

Dry and breezy start to the weekend before showers and cooler temperatures arrive. Saturday will be sunny with a high of 83 degrees. Temperatures cool to the low 70s on Sunday as rain moves through the state before clearing out on Monday.

Warm and muggy Friday afternoon as a few strong storms ignite with an approaching cold front later today (Level 2 Severe Risk for hail up to 1 inch and gusts to 60 mph possible). Beautiful and comfy sunshine for Saturday with low humidity ... then cool and wet for Sunday.

Almost all of the state got some rain overnight. Friday will see highs in the 80s with another round of storms possible this evening.

Storms are pushing across Minnesota overnight and expected to move through the metro around and after midnight.

Western Minnesota has the greatest risk for severe storms on Thursday.

Some last storms could roll through the metro bringing some much needed rain.

After some spotty storms on Wednesday, we are expecting some more storms going forward into the weekend.

Quiet start with a few clouds but more moisture around and a weak cold front moving through should spell some pop-up storms this afternoon. Those rumbles that develop are running a level 1 risk of severe weather with temperatures topping out in the lower 80s.

So scattered storms are possible, but the day will largely be quiet with highs in the 80s.
