Residents in Edina are voicing their frustrations after recent shootings after left them feeling on edge. FOX 9’s Maury Glover has the latest from a community meeting held to update the public.

A critical internal audit has confirmed years of FOX 9 investigations: The City of Minneapolis failed to properly oversee millions of taxpayer dollars awarded to non-police violence prevention groups. The Minneapolis Office of City Auditor concluded the Neighborhood Safety Department's decentralized structure and weak financial controls created a high-risk environment for fraud, waste and abuse. The City of Edina held a meeting on gun violence on Oct 5, after recent shootings at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and Yancey Park.

Edina Mayor James Hovland addressed concerns about what he described as a regional Somali youth gang problem following recent gun violence in the community. Hovland said the city will aggressively pursue those responsible for violence while warning residents against blaming or stereotyping Somali-American families for the actions of a few individuals.

The Eden Prairie High School homecoming game resumed Monday afternoon against Minnetonka, three days after two people were shot outside the Eden Prairie football stadium.
