It’s official, Cooks of Crocus Hill and Bellecour Bakery have merged to become Cooks | Bellecour. Along with the new name, the team behind the brands have opened a third location in Edina. The shop is on Market Street in the 50th & France shopping district. Like the North Loop and St. Paul locations, it will offer cooking classes, kitchen retail and a bakery counter with the Bellecour staples. The owners, Marie Dwyer, Karl Benson and Chef Gavin Kaysen call it a fully immersive culinary experience. The Edina shop is open seven days a week and is located at 3934 Market St.

After training among the best in Paris, Marc Heu brought his delicate desserts and pastry creations to St. Paul. He and his wife initially opened a shop in the Frogtown neighborhood in 2019, but they needed more space and recently moved into a new storefront. Marc Heu Patisserie Paris is now located at 156 Dale St. North. The new caf? has more seating and will have patio seating soon. It?s open Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is proposing a new vision for Nicollet Mall downtown, which he hopes will propel foot traffic along the popular stretch.

The metro has several unique coffee shop concepts. In Apple Valley, there?s Curiouser Coffee which is part coffee shop, part conservatory. In Plymouth, the Brew Park is a coffee shop and dog park combo. And in Minneapolis, Ninth Street blends soccer and coffee. There are pickup games nightly, but it?s also used for personal training groups and for kids, a free open play option every Tuesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. Ninth Street Soccer and Coffee is located at 801 SE 9th St. in the Marcy Holmes neighborhood of Minneapolis. It?s open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight.

After two years of renovations, the former Ribnick Fur building in the North Loop is now French brasserie, Maison Margaux. It?s described as bringing a bit of Paris and the Moulin Rouge to the neighborhood. David Fhima and his team are behind the restaurant, an idea that they started developing three years ago. The three-story building has a private event space on the upper level, a bar and restaurant on the main level and the Underground Bar on the lower level. Each space has a different look and feel. Maison Margaux opens Friday, May 12. It?s located at 224 N 1st St. in Minneapolis.

For those who love coffee, plants and pizza, there?s a new spot in Apple Valley designed with you in mind. The restaurant is on the corner of Galaxie and County Road 42. One side is dedicated to plants and caffeine. It?s called Curiouser Coffee and Conservatory. The drinks are unique offering unexpected twists like Cocoa Puff infused milk and Biscoff Cookie Butter Fat Washed Cold Brew. The seating area is packed with greenery and every plant that is named is for sale. On the other side is Pizzeria Social and a sizeable bar. It offers both wood-fired pizzas and thin crust tavern-style pizzas. The coffee side opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. The pizza restaurant opens at 11 a.m. The building is closed on Mondays.

The popular Twin Cities restaurant Centro has launched a cloud kitchen concept called Hippo Pockets. Tye Sullivan, the food and beverage operations director for Hippo Pockets, joined FOX 9 Good Day to talk about the new concept.
