The Minnesota United looks to continue their 10-game unbeaten streak this weekend against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, hoping good game will push them into the postseason.

With four games to go in the regular season, the Loons are taking flight at the right time. The team is only a win or a draw away from making it to the playoffs.

"It's been about the guys really absorbing the stresses of a season, especially on the road," Head coach Manny Lagos said. "That makes you stronger. They've navigated this well in a way that makes this team strong."

Minnesota is in a much different position than where they were last year. The team clinched a playoff spot in the first half a season ago and lost in the semifinals making this situation somewhat of a welcome change.

“We got a little complacent,” Forward Christian Ramirez said. “We plateaued in the fall season. Not an excuse. But this year we got to know each other better. We know the coaching system better."

This fight until the end brand of soccer could be just what this team needs to power to and through a postseason.

The Minnesota United will get their first chance at sealing a playoff spot on Saturday when they host the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
