Minnesota Timberwolves schedule released, home opener Nov. 1

The Minnesota Timberwolves will kick off their 2016-2017 season in Memphis against the Grizzlies on Wednesday Oct. 26, marking the third consecutive year the team's season has opened on the road.

The Timberwolves will open at the Target Center on Tuesday, November 1 against the Grizzlies.

The team will also celebrate Christmas on the road in the team's first ever Christmas Day game. The Timberwolves will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on ESPN at 7 p.m.

Minnesota will have 19 nationally televised games.

The team's longest homestand this season will be a six game stretch, starting on Feb. 4 and ending on Valentine's Day with a game against defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Wolves will play 52 games against Western Conference teams and 30 games against Eastern Conference teams.
