Minneapolis North HS football team makes prep bowl for 1st time in school history

For the first time in school history, the Minneapolis North High School football team is in the prep bowl. They are also the first high school team in Minneapolis to play in the prep bowl since the event began 34 years ago.

"Four or five years ago, they were talking about shutting this school down,” Head coach Charles Adams said. “They've had a chip on their shoulder for a few years now."

If the Polars can beat the Minneota Vikings on Saturday, they will compete for their first undefeated season since 1907. The school is also urging other city schools to come out in their team's colors, just to support history in the making.
