Vikings Guard Nick Easton undergoes neck surgery likely to end his season

Vikings Coach Mike Zimmer confirmed Thursday G Nick Easton underwent a neck surgery that will likely end his season.

At training camp, Zimmer said he remains confident in the offensive line unit despite the injury.

“I know everybody’s nervous about our offensive line, but I like the mentality of those guys. I like how they work,” he said.

The Vikings have the remainder of training camp to replace Easton’s 23 games of experience with the Vikings over the last two seasons.

Easton, 26, is a fourth year guard from Harvard.
