VIDEO: Police rescue dog from rushing river, perform mouth-to-mouth

Police jumped into a swollen and debris-filled river in Salgar, Colombia to rescue a dog that had been swept away by the current. Officers gave the dog mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and administered fluids before taking him to the nearby city for treatment and evaluation.

The officers were searching for survivors from the flooding and mudslide caused by heavy rains on May 18. At least 57 people were killed by the mudslide.

Police said the dog, named Prince, will be "welcomed to our police family" if his owner isn't found.
