Twin Cities records its first freeze

It was a week behind average and a week later than last year but on Saturday morning the mercury at Minneapolis-St. Paul International finally dipped below the magic threshold of 32°. The last time we recorded an at or below freezing temperature was back on April 22 when we dipped to 32°. If you're keeping track, that is just shy of six months of above freezing in the metro.
