Suspect ID'd in fatal hit-and-run crash on Blaisdell Ave. in Mpls.
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minneapolis Police are now looking for Raheem Quanta Meekins, 26, in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on Blaisdell Avenue and 26th Street West Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the scene around 9:36 a.m., after two vehicles reportedly ran a red light and struck two more vehicles at the intersection of Blaisdell Avenue South and 26th Street West. Jason Ritenour, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three occupants in one of the vehicles that allegedly ran the red light fled on foot after the accident. Police said they apprehended one of the occupants, releasing them after an interview.
Minneapolis Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Meekins, who also has an active warrant from the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
