The Star Tribune's longtime movie critic is out, resigning due to plagiarism allegations.

The Star Tribune says Colin Covert had written some reviews using "the same unique language of writers for other publications … without attribution."

The reviews in question stretch back many years to at least 2009.

Covert says in a statement he is sorry that "through too many mistakes over the last 30 years" he compromised the Star Tribune's reputation for integrity.
