Reports: Charges approved in Russia influence investigation

A grand jury has approved charges in the Russia influence investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to a CNN report.

CNN reports the charges are sealed by a federal judge. It's not known what they are or who is under indictment.

But according to CNN’s sources, plans were prepared Friday for anyone facing charges to be taken into custody as soon as Monday.

Mueller was appointed by the Attorney General's Office to lead the investigation into Russia's meddling in the 2016 elections.  He was appointed after President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey.

A spokesman for the Special Counsel's Office declined to comment.
