Authorities are still searching for an alleged suspect in a homicide that took place at an apartment in Columbia Heights, Minnesota early Thursday morning.

Officers were dispatched to an apartment on the 1000 block of 41st Avenue NE around 4:30 a.m., where they found a 31-year-old St. Louis Park man who had “succumbed to a violent death.” Police believe an acquaintance of the occupant of the apartment may have been involved.

Police have identified the suspect as 41-year-old Phillip Leron Miller of Brooklyn Park.

The suspect is now described as 5'7" tall with a medium build with brown eyes, and loosely braided black hair with tattoos on his arm and hand.

The suspect goes by the nickname of “Ox” or “Occ.” He is possibly driving a silver mid-sized vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or the location of the suspect is asked to contact the Columbia Heights Police Department or the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at 763-427-1212. The suspect is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
