Mysterious boat turns up on rural Minnesota road

NEW MARKET, Minn. (KMSP) - Some Scott County residents got a surprise this morning when a boat turned up in the middle of a rural road, leading police on a mission to find the craft's owner.

The boat turned up on a gravel road in New Market, Minn. early Sunday morning, startling one resident who walked outside to collect their newspaper, police say.

Authorities are currently working to determine how the boat ended up on the road and find the owner. The Scott County Sheriff's Office encourages anyone with information on the incident to call their dispatch center.
