Metro Transit: Man fatally struck by Green Line train in St. Paul, Minn.
(KMSP) - Authorities with Metro Transit confirm a man has died after he was struck by a train Monday afternoon at the Hamline Avenue station in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Around 4:30 p.m., Metro Transit officials took to Twitter to announce that the westbound Green Line trains were delayed due to a train-pedestrian crash. Authorities say it appears the man was running toward the train with a friend; the friend survived.
As of 5:30 p.m., the Green Line service has resumed.
Metro Transit authorities say this is the second Green Line death this year.
