Maturi Pavilion getting upgrades ahead of volleyball season

Maturi Pavilion at the University of Minnesota will be receiving major upgrades ahead of the next volleyball season.

The Board of Regents approved a privately funded renovation to the center, which includes a 9,000 square foot remodel on both levels of the east side.

The lower level spaces will give the student-athletes to access strength training, sports medicine, a nutrition station and hydrotherapy pools. The team room, locker room and play lounge will also be redone.

On the upper level, there will be offices and meeting rooms for coaches. The club room will also be renovated and have 48 premium fan seats added.

Air conditioning will be added to the Pavilion.

Construction is already underway and will be completed by the end of August.
