Man shot, seriously injured while holding infant in Minneapolis

A man is in serious, but stable condition after he was shot while holding an infant Tuesday in Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis police, around 4 a..m, a ShotSpotter was activated in the 400 block of 24th Avenue North. While officers were en route, it was upgraded to a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The infant was not injured in the shooting.

Police say they have not made any arrests yet.
