Man injured in shooting near St. Paul church
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - A 25-year-old man was found shot in an alley near a church in St. Paul, according to St. Paul police.
Police say just before 1 p.m., officers responded to a report of shooting in the 700 block of Portland Avenue. Officers learned there was a confrontation between two men outside a church, where a funeral was taking place. During the confrontation, one man shot the other man. The suspect left the area in a vehicle.
Police found the 25-year-old victim in an alley with gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. Crews took the man to Regions Hospital. His in stable condition and his injuries are non-life threatening.
The case is still under investigation. No arrests have been made.
