Fire spreads from porch to house on Dupont Ave. in Minneapolis

Two adults and 3 children need help finding temporary shelter after a fire on Dupont Avenue in north Minneapolis. The fire started at about 6 a.m. on the 3600 block of Dupont Avenue N.

The fire appeared to have started on the front porch before spreading to the inside of the house, causing extensive damage. The fire was put out by 7 a.m.

One person in a neighboring house was treated for smoke inhalation. The Red Cross is helping the 5 people displaced by the fire.
