Dump truck accident takes out power lines, causes outage in Inver Grove Heights
INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. (KMSP) - A dump truck accident in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota Thursday morning downed several power lines and caused a power outage in the area.
The accident occurred around 5 a.m. on Concord Boulevard between Dawn Way and 66th Street, the Inver Grove Heights Police Department said. Concord Boulevard will remain closed while Xcel Energy and Century Link repair the power lines. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
At least 200 people remain without power in Inver Grove Heights, St. Paul and South St. Paul, according to Xcel Energy.
