Dozens of vehicles in ditch on I-35 between Wyoming and Stacy
(FOX 9) - UPDATE: I-35W northbound near Lino Lakes, Minn. reopened just before 5 p.m. Friday.
Slick roads around the Twin Cities area caused numerous crashes Friday afternoon.
I-35W northbound is closed at Lexington Avenue Northeast near Circle Pines after a multi-car crash that occurred before 3 p.m. Friday according to MnDOT.
North of that crash site, Wyoming Police reported a “dozens of vehicles in the ditch,” between the Wyoming and Stacy exits on I-35 northbound as well. Later, Wyoming PD tweeted that approximately 35 cars were involved in crashes or went off the road during Friday's snow.
Dozens more spinouts and crashes were reported on Minnesota’s interstates and state highways in the Twin Cities metro area and numerous crashes have been reported on I-94.
