'Donut Boy' delivers new protective vest to Anoka Police K-9

Eleven-year-old Tyler Carach - also known as "Donut Boy" - brought a special gift to Anoka Police Tuesday.

As part of his mission to show appreciation to law enforcement across the nation, the Alabama boy fundraised to buy a new protective vest for police K-9 Bravo. The nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s helped Carach achieve his goal.

Carach started his mission in 2016 by giving every cop a donut in order to say thank you. His mission is called “I DONUT need a reason to thank a Cop”. So far, Tyler has traveled to over 40 states and delivered over 70,000 doughnuts to the men and women in law enforcement.
