2 car crash involving State Patrol sends 2 to hospital

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. (KMSP) - A two-car crash in Mendota Heights involving a State Patrol squad car sent two people, including a trooper, to the hospital.
Just before 4 p.m., the State Trooper was parked in the median crossover of I-35E near Wagon Wheel Trail in Mendota Heights. The trooper's car was facing eastbound.
Another vehicle heading northbound went into the median and hit the passenger side of the trooper's car.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
