14-year-old dies in fall off cliff along Lake Superior

SILVER BAY, Minn. (KMSP) - A 14-year-old girl died Sunday after she fell off a cliff along Lake Superior’s North Shore.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. while Bailey Belisle was visiting Palisade Head north of Silver Bay, Minnesota. According to the Lake County sheriff’s office, bystanders were the first to reach the victim after they repelled down the cliff to render first aid.
The teenager was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Her identity has not been released pending notification of her family.
