What to expect:
It’s a quiet day on Friday with snow chances holding off until later in the day. Friday begins with filtered sunshine before clouds gradually thicken throughout the afternoon. Winds will be much lighter than Thursday, coming from the west at around 5 mph.
Temperatures in central and southern Minnesota are in the 20s, while northern regions are slightly cooler in the teens. The Twin Cities metro daytime high is 23 degrees.
Snow flurries could arrive later in the evening as temperatures fall into the upper teens and lower 20s overnight. A winter weather advisory will go into effect from midnight to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The winter storm watch for Saturday has been downgraded to a winter weather advisory, though accumulating snow is still expected.
Snow will begin late Friday night into Saturday, bringing 3–6 inches to central and southern Minnesota. Areas near the I-94 corridor and parts of northern Minnesota can expect lighter totals, around 1–3 inches.
For the Twin Cities, snow is expected to arrive around midnight, with widespread light to moderate snow in the overnight hours before tapering off Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday, temperatures are chillier with highs in the teens, with even colder air moving in for next week, bringing single-digit temperatures.
