Some mist is possible Friday morning with a chance for a few spotty showers Friday afternoon. But it's going to be cold for the Twins Home Opener, as temperatures struggle to get to 40 degrees in the Twin Cities in the afternoon. Around sunset Friday, rain is possible in the Twin Cities metro. Overnight, the system really comes together, bringing snow to northern Minnesota and the possibility of a snow shower at times in the Twin Cities. Accumulating snow is not expected in the metro.

In northern Minnesota, multiple inches of snow are possible Friday into Saturday. The area is under a winter storm warning. In northern Wisconsin, there's an ice storm warning. Meanwhile, portions of western and central Minnesota – excluding the Twin Cities – are under a winter weather advisory.

A wintry mix is possible on Saturday, with temperatures in the upper 30s for the Twin Cities metro. 

Sunday is expected to start off cold, but some sunshine is possible in the afternoon. The high is forecast to be around 48 degrees in the Twin Cities. 

Cool again on Monday, but temperatures in the 50s are expected by mid-week next week.
