2024 Miss Minnesota, Miss Minnesota Teen crowned

Royalty joined the Fox 9 Morning News this Saturday morning, just a few hours after being crowned Miss Minnesota and Miss Minnesota Teen. Emily Schumacher, an at-large contestant representing the title of Miss Mankato, is the new Miss Minnesota, and Brynn Olson, representing the Bemidji area as Miss Northern Lakes’ Teen, was crowned Miss Minnesota’s Teen 2024. Schumacher works as a CNA at Mayo Clinic Health Systems and sales associate at J. Longs Lifestyle Shop. She is a 2022 Honors Graduate of Northern State University. Her community service initiative, which she will promote during her year of service, is “The Heart of the Matter,” advocating for heart health and heart disease prevention. Schumacher will receive a $10,000 educational scholarship and will represent Minnesota at the 2025 Miss America competition. Meantime, Brynn Olson, Miss Minnesota’s Teen, is a 17-year-old recent graduate of Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls. She is the recipient of a $2,500 educational scholarship, and will represent Minnesota at the Miss America’s Teen 2025 competition. As Miss Minnesota’s Teen, Olson will spend the year as Minnesota’s teen ambassador at various events across the state. She will also promote her community service initiative, “BIO Girls: Beautiful Inside and Out.” The three-day competition included more than 30 candidates at Treasure Island Resort & Casino. Congrats to Olson and Schumacher and good luck at the national competition in January.
