A memorial is growing on Eat Street in South Minneapolis after Alex Pretti was fatally shot by Border Patrol on Saturday morning.  Protests were a bit chaotic earlier in the day, but they are now calm and peaceful.

Local officials are calling on ICE to leave Minnesota after Border Patrol fatally shot a Minneapolis man Saturday morning. The National Guard is also coming in to help assist police as demonstrations against ICE continue.

Members of the Minnesota National Guard will assist county and local officials in keeping the peace in Minneapolis on Saturday night. 

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said the City of Minneapolis is filing a declaration after Saturday's shooting to encourage the judge to rule on a temporary restraining order on Monday that would grant immediate relief and would help stop the federal operation "that has been so harmful to the city of Minneapolis" that has resulted in multiple shootings and deaths. 

The Minnesota BCA was blocked from accessing the scene of the fatal Minneapolis shooting on Saturday. The BCA also secured a search warrant, which is unusual for this type of situation, and they were still denied access to the scene. Superintendent Drew Evans says they will still investigate the shooting.

A 37-year-old Minneapolis resident was fatally shot by a Border Patrol agent Saturday morning during a targeted immigration operation. Rob Doar with the Minnesota Gun Owners Law Center reacted to Saturday's incident.

The scene of the shooting has turned mostly peaceful after chemical irritants were used on the crowd earlier in the day. The crowd does continue to grow.
