One spot opened last week. It?s called CHX and it?s from a trio of friends who made a name for themselves offering window service in Downtown Minneapolis during the pandemic. CHX now has a permanent spot on Hennepin and 22nd. The menu focuses on chicken tenders, their honey biscuits and crinkle fries.

There’s two new fried chicken spots that opened in the last month, both in Uptown. One is from Chef Justin Sutherland of Handsome Hog and star of Fast Foodies on TruTV. It’s called Side Chick and it’s located near the corner of Lyndale and Lake St. The restaurant is described as fast casual southern food but also boasts a full bar.

Every summer, St. Paul?s Circus Juventas puts on its biggest show of the year and it?s vital to keeping the program afloat. Last year, performers were ready to debut it, but they never got the chance. A year later, they?re getting another shot. The show is called ?Galaxium? and it will be performed in front of a full crowd under the big top starting July 30th. Tickets go on sale Monday, July 5th at 10am

The brother and sister duo behind Treats on Grand Avenue in St. Paul have opened a 2nd location in Blaine, about 10 minutes from where they grew up. Trisha Seng and Minh Dinh infuse ice cream with all your favorite childhood cereals like Trix and Cocoa Puffs. The ice cream shop also has decadent waffles, boba and matcha lattes. They are open daily from 9am to 11pm

He talked to his business partner in the Minneapolis restaurant StepChld, Sahr Brima, who got his wife Sarah on board. She?s a talented baker and eventually, they perfected the ?Love You Cookie.? It?s a big, crunchy chocolate loaded treat. Now the cookie is being offered in two flavors, Chocolate Chip Cashew and Double Chocolate Peanut Butter. The cookies are in many cafes and coffee shops across the metro plus Kowalski?s Markets, and some Hy-Vee stores.

But the candy company is trying something new, adding a sweet and savory flavor to the lineup. They?re now selling the ?Spicy,? think Tex-Mex flavors and ?Cinnamon Churro? which has a sweet red-hot type spice. Come fall, Pearson?s is rolling out two more seasonal options, the Apple Pie and Pumpkin Spice Salted Nut Rolls. You can buy them in stores or on the Pearson?s online Amazon store.

Catiesha Pierson started making her own juice as a way to get her son to eat more fruits and vegetables. She would post her creations on Instagram and people started taking notice. Eventually, she started making and delivering fresh-pressed juices for friends and family when she wasn?t working at her full-time job. It became her passion and she decided to pursue it, quitting her job and signing a lease on a space in South Minneapolis. Pierson opened The Dripping Root last week at the intersection of Minnehaha Ave & 40th St. She sold out every single day. Her top-seller is the Nipsey Drip which is made up of passion fruit, guava, lemon, pineapple, Blue Majik and apple.
